- Academic background: Bachelor degree in Journalism, EU profile, at Umeå University. At Queensland University of Technology, in Brisbane, Australia, I took three courses: Foundation of Journalism, Feature Writing and Visual design for Storytelling.
- Work background: Reporter and web editor at Hallandsposten. I have also worked in school with all ages 6-16 and on the event team at SkiStar.
- Journalistic experience: Three weeks internship at Nyheter24 during my second year at the bachelor. I wrote about gang crimes, the Swedish election and the EU. I have also worked three summers and had my long term internship at Hallandsposten, a Swedish local newspaper in Halland. Examples of things I have done that I am “extra proud of” is two lager “investigations”/article series about eating disorders among children (especially my column for it) and female genital mutilation. In Brisbane, Australia, I wrote a feature about sexual assaults in the stripping industry, which I am trying to get published in a newspaper in Australia.
- Writing skills (English): Fluent (more or less in both academic and journalistic writing).

- Graphic/illustration skills? PhotoShop, InDesign, Elements. I am “okay”, but I want to develop more. I am good at visualising what I want in the finished “product” and coming up with ideas.
- Digital publishing/social media? At Hallandsposten, as the web editor, I have done this a lot.
- Audio/radio/pod? During my bachelor’s degree, but I am keen to learn more.
- Photography? Both as a reporter and for Uni, keen to learn more.
- Video/tv/filming? During my bachelor’s degree, but I would not say that I am confident in this area of journalism.
- Other editing or publishing skills? Did “newspaper design” in InDesign when I did my investigation during my bachelor’s degree, and I have published articles when working at Hallandsposten.
- Special interests/knowledge relevant to research/investigative journalism: I am very interested in crime and how it affects people and society. I am also interested in how visual elements can take the story to new heights and give the audience a deeper insight and understanding into what journalism reveals.
- Other skills/hobbies: Writing (wrote a book called “Tankar under vita lakan), be with family and friends, travel och exploring. My favourite thing to do is skiing and being in “fjällen” with friends and/or family.
