Selected the dark background and higher contrast for accessibility reasons. The style is clearer in my opinion.

Also for this one, dark theme was selected to make the charts better visible. Selected the yellow color for same reasons. In the chart the amount of operational nuclear powerplants are compared between countries of more than 100 million people.

Both charts again were made in dark theme for better visibility. On the line charts points on the lines were removed to make it more aesthetically appealing.

Datawrapper is in my experience a bit better when in a hurry. Datawrapper is a very "to the point" tool. Flourish is great when making more aesthetically pleasing and more customiseable tool with very nice selection on fonts and stylisations for visual elements used in journalism. Learning Flourish with all of its possibilities takes a bit more time. To put it briefly: I would use datawrapper in a hurry and flourish when working on a bigger project.
