Almost 25 years of data is shown here for the first time of refugees trying to enter the EU but failing. Although there are many articles written about this topic, this is the first time an English-language daily is showing the actual data of these refugees. The List is included here and in a way, the data tells a story in and of itself almost. Moreover, the journalists still have to use other journalistic techniques by collating the data: yes, they have all this information in a file, but does this tell the whole story?
The data provided here creates a rich ground for a story with the number of attacks per region and the growing expansion of Israeli settlements. The journalists here have visualized the data in a way where the angle of the story is supported by the different graphs and images, making the story even stronger and richer outside of just the mention of attacks somewhere in the West Bank and the growing numbers of settlements.

Perhaps more of a discussion point: is a visual representation of the data also clear enough to tell a story, without elaborate details and storylines? (
