  1. Migrant Death Map > A geographical representation of migrant worker deaths in Singapore as reported by the media over the past two decades (1 January 2000 – 3 August 2022). It may be a little bit too complex to navigate (it offers different sections), but I find it interesting because it displays an intersectional approach to workplace fatality data. The website not only features a map but also provides the ability to search for each individual’s name in a database, read analyses of aggregated data based on age, gender, and origin, and includes specific insights into the mental health of migrant workers, abuse suffered, types of accidents, data collection methodology, and a section detailing requests made to authorities to prevent further deaths.
  2. The Hottest Year by Reuters > It uses a combination of interactive charts, maps, and graphics to clearly illustrate the global temperature trends and its deadly effects on the population. This visual approach makes complex climate data engaging to a wide audience. It shows temperature anomalies over time, allowing readers to easily grasp the magnitude and acceleration of global warming. The use of color scales and animations helps highlight key patterns and trends. Also, the article provides clear explanations of what the data means, and all findings are based on data from reputable scientific institutions.
