Special interests/knowledge relevant to research/investigative journalism: ethics, specifically ethics of technology and medical ethics. I love to research and investigate how technology interacts with the human body and how it affects us. Anything digitalization, pharma, GMO, corruption, AI, health, etc.
Other skills/hobbies: ice-skating, knitting, swimming (also in the cold!), learning languages, dyeing wool, foraging (still learning), reading (if I find the time), writing, running (I started running this year after I decided to give it another chance because I hated it in high school).
I think I will be able to support my fellow students with: keeping research small in scope, thinking about your audience, making a structure for an essay, learning Dutch words that are not translatable to English (like gezellig), chatting about life 🙂
